Support
Help for Game On Now and Game On Now Lite.
Which TVs and speakers are supported?
Samsung, LG, Vizio and Sony Bravia smart TVs; TVs with Roku built in (TCL, Hisense, Sharp, Insignia and more); Roku streaming players; and Sonos soundbars and speakers. Your iPhone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
How do I pair my TV?
- Turn the TV on and connect your iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app and tap Find my TV. It scans your network and lists what it finds.
- Pick your TV. Some brands (Samsung, LG, Sony) show an approval prompt on the TV: accept it with your TV remote.
- If it isn't found, allow Local Network access for the app in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network, and check that your router isn't isolating Wi-Fi devices (guest networks often do).
What voice commands work?
- "TV volume down" / "TV quieter"
- "TV volume up 10" / "TV louder a little"
- "TV volume 15" to jump to a level
- "TV mute", then "TV unmute" or "Game on"
Prefer not to leave it listening? Use the Hold to talk button or the volume and mute buttons. The commands also work with Siri, the Shortcuts app and the Action button. Voice commands need an iPhone that supports on-device speech recognition for English (US).
Voice commands aren't working
Make sure microphone and speech recognition access are allowed in iOS Settings, the app is open on screen and listening, and the TV is on and reachable on your Wi-Fi.
What's the difference between the two apps?
Game On Now Lite is a voice remote for volume that collects no data. Game On Now adds automatic commercial detection, which sends short text transcripts to our server for analysis. See the Privacy Policy.
